Our Thankful Tree

We started a tradition this year of a thankful tree. During the week of Thanksgiving, we each add leaves to the tree of what we are thankful for. I was very surprised that the kids were mostly thankful for their spiritual blessings.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Tonya's mom, dad, sister and her family joined us for Thanksgiving. We had a good time and certainly enjoyed the meal. With Alton Brown's Turkey and Green Bean Casserole how could you go wrong?
After our family left we all went to see the movie Igor at the dollar theater. This is the first time that all 7 of us have gone to the movies. Jeneva ate tons of popcorn and fell asleep. All of the older kids watched the movie intently. I can't believe our outing was that easy.

To Life!

Jerry received his birthday present early. We got our tickets in the mail for an end of July performance. We are both so excited, this is one of our favorite movies. Topol is the same actor from the movie, so we didn't want to miss out seeing him in person at the Pantages Theater.

"When you call me that, smile."

This was the book for our mom's club. We had a great discussion tonight and I gained some insights. This was the first novel about the American cowboy and where the movie stereotypes came from. There is also a love story for the ladies. Alot to ponder and make up your mind about. My main question is "how would I act?" I won't give it away, but it's definitely worth the read.
Our book for January is The Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare. If anyone wants to read and discuss it online, let me know.

Jeneva Takes the Cake and Eats It

I can't believe Jeneva is 1 year old.
Like all kids, she had to see if it was okay to grab the cake.
She finally picked it up and dug in.
Jeneva ate the whole thing and then proceeded to rub it in. She had lots of fun, but the frosting stained her hands and face.

Levi Blows Out the Candles

Levi picked out the picture for his cake. Can you guess what his two favorite things are?

Levi had no problem blowing out his candles. No girlfriends yet, whew!

Levi and Jeneva's Family Birthday Party!

Levi and Jeneva have their birthday 4 days apart, I wonder how long I can get away with a single party? Here are some pictures of the kids opening their presents.

Here is Jeneva in a chicken suit. Why, you may ask yourself? Just because she is so cute!

Levi is 6 Years Old!

Levi is going to have his official party on Saturday with Jeneva, but we gave him his presents on his birthday. Levi loves Star Wars and he chose to go see the new Clone Wars movie for his birthday.

Levi has been asking for a marble run for a couple of years.

Levi got his first set of scriptures since he has been reading for about a year.

Jeneva is an Official Walker!

Jeneva is walking everywhere now and she just made it under the 1 year mark. All of the kids started walking at 11 months old. She is so happy to be a big girl.
